Curley Company was hired to influence insurance companies, state regulators and federal agencies to improve health insurance reimbursements of cancer screenings. The goal was to create an advocacy campaign that engaged grassroots activists and industry influencers to urge decision-makers to change policies to better serve consumer needs.
Curley Company launched a multi-faceted campaign that utilized targeted digital advertisements, traditional media coverage and email campaigns to successfully engage advocates. The campaign resulted in five states passing legislation or taking administrative action to mandate insurance coverage. In addition, four of the nation’s five largest insurance plans (as well as dozens of regional plans) adopted the new coverage policy.
